1 Agreement

These terms govern your booking of a Sovereign Sundays retreat, operated by Redd Academy LLC. By paying a deposit you accept them in full.

2 Booking and payment

A non-refundable $500 deposit reserves your spot. The remaining balance is paid through a monthly installment plan, and your full balance must be received no later than 30 days before the retreat start date.

Failure to complete payment by that date may result in cancellation of your booking under Section 3.

3 If you cancel

Your deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances.

Installment payments made beyond the deposit are not refunded, but will be held as credit toward any future Sovereign Sundays retreat for 12 months from your cancellation date.

4 If we cancel

Each retreat requires a minimum of two confirmed guests. If we cancel for insufficient enrollment or any other reason within our control, you receive a full refund including your deposit.

We are not responsible for flights, visas, or other costs you incurred independently. Book refundable fares or insure them.

5 Travel insurance

Travel insurance is strongly recommended. We recommend coverage including trip cancellation, medical treatment abroad, and emergency evacuation.

6 Passports, visas, and entry

You are solely responsible for ensuring your passport validity, entry requirements, and any visa needed for your nationality. We will flag general requirements but cannot guarantee your entry into any country. Denied entry is not grounds for refund.

7 This is not professional advice

Sovereign Sundays provides education, research, and lived experience. Nothing on a retreat — including conversations with us, introductions to local contacts, or any materials provided — constitutes legal, immigration, tax, medical, real estate, or financial advice.

Introductions to local service providers are conveniences, not endorsements, and we receive no compensation for them. You are responsible for your own due diligence and for retaining qualified licensed professionals in your own situation.

8 Physical demands and accessibility

Retreats are active. Every itinerary involves substantial walking — often several miles a day — public transit, uneven sidewalks, stairs, and full days with limited downtime. The pace is deliberate: you can't assess whether a city works for daily life from a car window.

Conditions vary by destination and may include high altitude, heat, humidity, or steep terrain. Destination-specific conditions are described on each retreat's page.

Disclose any medical condition, mobility limitation, or accessibility need when you book. We will tell you honestly whether we can accommodate it for that specific destination. We would rather have that conversation before you pay than have you arrive somewhere the week doesn't work for you.

9 Conduct

We reserve the right to remove any guest whose behavior endangers, harasses, or materially disrupts other guests, our staff, or local people we work with — without refund, and at that guest's own expense for onward travel.

10 Itinerary changes

Specific activities, properties, and neighborhoods may change due to weather, safety, availability, or circumstances on the ground. We will deliver a program of equivalent value and scope.

11 Assumption of risk

International travel carries inherent risks. You accept these risks voluntarily. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the retreat.

12 Force majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disaster, civil unrest, epidemic, border closure, or government action.

13 Photography

We may photograph or film during retreats for marketing use. Tell us in writing before the retreat if you do not want to appear, and we will honor it.

14 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms will be resolved in the courts of the District of Columbia.

15 Community access

Community access included with your retreat is subject to the community's own guidelines and may be revoked for violations of those guidelines.
