1 Who this covers

This policy covers Sovereign Sundays, operated by Redd Academy LLC, including the newsletter, website, and retreats. It applies to newsletter subscribers, retreat guests, and anyone who submits information to us through our site or checkout process.

2 What we collect

If you subscribe to the newsletter: your email address, and if you provide it, your name. Beehiiv, our email platform, also tracks standard engagement data like opens and clicks so we can see what's resonating.

If you book a retreat: your name, email, and phone number; a $500 deposit and any installment payments processed through Stripe; whether you're booking single or shared occupancy; and, closer to your retreat, any medical condition, mobility limitation, or accessibility need you disclose so we can plan around it, plus passport details we may ask for to flag visa requirements specific to your nationality.

We never see or store your full card number. Stripe handles that directly and is bound by its own security standards and privacy policy.

3 How we use it

• Sending the newsletter and retreat communications you've signed up for
• Processing your deposit and installment payments
• Planning your retreat itinerary, accommodations, and accessibility accommodations
• Flagging visa and entry requirements relevant to your booking
• Responding when you contact us directly

We don't use your information for anything beyond what you'd reasonably expect from those purposes.

4 Medical, accessibility, and passport information

This is the most sensitive information we collect, and we treat it accordingly. It's used only to plan your specific retreat and to have an honest conversation with you about whether we can accommodate a need for that destination. It is not shared with other guests, not used for marketing, and not retained longer than needed to plan and run your trip.

5 Who we share it with

We don't sell your information. We share it only with the vendors that make the business run — primarily Stripe for payments and Beehiiv for email — and, where relevant to your booking, with the specific hotel or local partners who need your name and dates to hold your reservation. Those partners get only what they need to do that job.

6 Cookies

Our website runs on Beehiiv, which uses cookies for basic site function and, where you consent, analytics. You'll see Beehiiv's cookie notice when you visit the site, and you can manage your preferences there.

7 How long we keep it

Newsletter data stays with us for as long as you're subscribed, and is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period after you unsubscribe. Retreat booking and payment records are kept as long as needed for our own recordkeeping and any legal or tax obligations. Medical, accessibility, and passport details are kept only through your retreat and a short window after, then deleted.

8 Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email. You can ask us to tell you what we have on file, correct it, or delete it, subject to what we're required to keep for payment, tax, or legal reasons. Reach out using the contact info below.

9 Children

Sovereign Sundays is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

10 Security

We rely on Stripe and Beehiiv's own security infrastructure for payment and email data, and we limit access to sensitive information like medical and passport details to what's needed to plan your trip. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

11 Changes to this policy

If we make a material change to this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, where the change is significant, let subscribers know directly.
