Many of the people who trust us with their information are queer, trans, Black, Brown, or all of these at once. We take that seriously. This page explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and how to have it deleted.

The short version

We collect what we need to send the newsletter, sell our products, and run our retreats.
We never sell your information.
We never share anything about your identity, your health, or what you tell us on a call with advertisers.
Passport and medical details are deleted within 60 days after your retreat ends.
You can ask us to show, fix, or delete your information at any time.

01Who we are

Sovereign Sundays is run by Sovereign Sundays LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. This policy covers our website, newsletter, the Borderless Index, the Community, our products, and our Relocation Retreats.

We don’t record calls unless we ask you first.

03Information about who you are

You may share things like your sexual orientation, gender identity, race, or health with us on a call, in a form, or in the Community. We treat this as sensitive.

We only use it to support you, like helping you judge whether a city is safe for you, or planning your retreat around your needs.
We never sell it, never share it with advertisers, and never use it to target ads.
We never share it with anyone else, including a hotel or tour provider, without your permission, unless the law requires it.

04Passport, health, and accessibility details

We only ask retreat guests for these, and only for what we actually need.
We keep them in secure storage that only Cam and K Redd can access.
We share them only with the provider who needs them. For example, hotels are often required by local law to record your passport details at check-in.
We delete them within 60 days after your retreat ends. If there’s an open insurance claim or dispute, we keep them until it’s settled, then delete them.

05The tools we use

We use a small number of trusted services to run Sovereign Sundays. They only get what they need to do their job.

Beehiiv runs our newsletter, website, and Community.
Stripe processes payments.
HubSpot stores contact details, call bookings, and call notes.
Video call tools host our calls with you.
Secure cloud storage holds retreat documents.

Advertising. We run ads on platforms like Facebook and Instagram. These platforms may use cookies or tracking pixels on our site to tell us when an ad led to a visit or a sign-up, and to show our ads to people who have visited our site. You can change this in your ad settings on those platforms and in your browser. We never share your call notes, your identity, or your health details with ad platforms.

06Who else sees your information

Retreat providers. Hotels, drivers, and tour companies get only what they need, usually your name and arrival details. Hotels may also need your passport details.
The law. We’ll share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.
A change in ownership. If Sovereign Sundays is ever sold or merged, your information may move with it. We’d tell you first.

That’s it. We don’t sell or rent your information to anyone.

07Where your information is kept

Our tools store data mostly in the United States. Retreats happen abroad, so information needed for your stay is shared with providers in the retreat country, where privacy laws may be different. We share the least we can.

08How long we keep it

Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. We may keep a note that you unsubscribed so we don’t email you again.
Brochure requests and call notes: up to 2 years after we last heard from you, if you don’t book.
Payment and booking records: 7 years, for tax and accounting.
Passport, health, and accessibility details: deleted within 60 days after your retreat ends.
Community posts: until you delete them or ask us to.

09Your choices and rights

Unsubscribe from our emails at any time with the link at the bottom of any email.
Ask us to show you, correct, send you a copy of, or delete the information we have about you. We’ll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm it’s really you first.
Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as well.

Some records, like payment records, we’re required by law to keep. Depending on where you live, you may have more privacy rights. We honor these requests for everyone, wherever you live.

10Children

Sovereign Sundays is not meant for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us information, tell us and we’ll delete it.

11Keeping it safe

We use trusted services with strong security, and we limit who can see sensitive details. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share. If a security problem affects your information, we’ll tell you as the law requires.

12Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If the change is big, we’ll also tell subscribers directly.
